{"id":1824,"date":"2017-10-20T08:00:06","date_gmt":"2017-10-20T07:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/incom.allican.tech\/?p=1824"},"modified":"2017-10-26T10:20:31","modified_gmt":"2017-10-26T09:20:31","slug":"amazon-texas-project-goes-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/incomgroup.es\/en\/amazon-texas-project-goes-online\/","title":{"rendered":"Amazon Texas project goes online"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to the internet giant, the 100-turbine Amazon Wind Farm Texas in Scurry County is the company\u2019s 18<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0wind or solar project.<\/p>\n<p>This project is owned and developed by Lincoln Clean Energy, and\u00a0gathers 110 of GE\u2019s turbines and provides US storage and information management services company Iron Mountain with 25.3MW of power, with the remainder going to Jeff Bezos\u2019 firm.<\/p>\n<p>The PPA would\u00a0allow Amazon to achieve its long-term goal of powering its global infrastructure with 100% renewable energy, according to the firm.<\/p>\n<p>The idea is that Amazon\u2019s 227.7MW portion from the site will power one of its data centres for the company\u2019s cloud computing arms.<\/p>\n<p>Amazon&#8217;s worldwide director of sustainability, Hara Hurst mentioned in an interview\u00a0held in Texas that\u00a0&#8220;Investing in renewable energy is a win-win-win-win \u2014 it\u2019s right for our customers, our communities, our business, and our planet&#8221;.
