On August 4, the launch meeting of the “TECNOCOMP” project (Research and development of composites with high technical performance and differentiating aesthetics) took place in which INGENIERIA DE COMPUESTOS (INCOM) participates together with the companies FRANCOTEX and NATURTEX.

These composite materials would have direct application in the habitat sector, especially the contract sector, forming part of wall and floor coverings, furniture, separating elements, etc. inside public spaces.

INCOM, who will act as project leader, participates as an expert in engineering and manufacturing of “composites” while NATURTEX and FRANCOTEX will be in charge of the development of all the textile and chemical parts respectively to guarantee good compatibility between the materials that make up the composite. final and guarantee that it has the final properties sought, these are; great aesthetic value, structural resistance and fire retardant properties.

The project, which will have an estimated duration of 20 months, will be executed during the 2021-22 years and will be financed by the Valencian Innovation Agency within the Consolidation of the Business Value Chain program, with a total budget of 688,736.89 €.

The project “INVESTIGATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE COMPOSITES AND DIFFERENTIATING AESTHETICS” of INGENIERÍA DE COMPUESTOS, S.L. With file number INNCAD / 2021/115, it has been the beneficiary of a grant granted by the Valencian Agency for Innovation – AVI, through the aid program in terms of strengthening and development of the Valencian Innovation System for the improvement of the production model for fiscal year 2021-2023

InCom finaliza con éxito Proyecto ROBOTICELL

INGENIERIA DE COMPUESTOS SL completes the project “New concept of robotic cell for processing multimaterial structural nuclei” co-financed by CDTI.

The company INGENIERIA DE COMPUESTOS has concluded the project “New concept of robotic cell for the processing of multimaterial structural cores”, with the acronym ROBOTICELL, thanks to the help of the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) of the Ministry of Industry, Economy and Competitiveness, co-financed by the European Union (ERDF Funds) through the Operational Program for Smart Growth (2014-2020).

This project began in March 2019, when the R&D staff, in their quest for research, set themselves the goal of becoming a leading company at the national level in terms of preform manufacturing technology, developing a new concept of robotic cell for the processing of structural cores. In this way, they have taken a strategic leap by expanding the range of products.

After 21 months of work at the Elda plant and a CDTI contribution of € 1,223,237.55, the company has managed to successfully complete the technological challenge.

InCom expands productive capacity in the UK with the support of COFIDES

InCom Group, designer and manufacturer of composite materials for the production of aeolian blades, will strengthen its position in the United Kingdom with the expansion of the productive capacity of its affiliate in the UK. COFIDES has allocated Euros 750,000, debited to FIEX, as a co-investment loan to the specialised company InCom Composite Engineering UK Ltd.

Counting the contribution from Spain's development finance institution, total investment in the project is Euro 1.1 million. The specialised company will use the financing for equipment, machinery and working capital.

The UK market for wind power is in a growth phase and expectations are that the trend will continue over the next few years. Robust customer demand, therefore, requires the company to expand its facilities and develop a new production line in a new plant that will be operational by end-2019.

This project will mainly impact Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 12 (Responsible Production and Consumption) and 13 (Action for the Climate) since the InCom Group is implementing a system of nearby supplier selection and approval that aims to gradually reduce its carbon footprint. Moreover, the company produces materials ultimately destined for the production of renewable energy and the consequently reduced consumption of fossil fuel.

COFIDES President José Luis Curbelo underscored the Spanish company's commitment to innovation as the supplier to the main manufacturers of windmill blades and turbines. "For COFIDES, it is very important to support projects that enable the reduction of greenhouse gases and contribute to the global energy transition that is needed if the goals of the Paris Agreement and the SDG are to be met."

InCom CFO Rodrigo Gómez acknowledges the importance of this financing for the future of the Group and asserts that "the expansion of our productive capacity in the UK will allow us to continue to grow and take advantage of the opportunity for strong development that Spain is promoting, with a clear bet on wind energy. We accept this new challenge with a sense of commitment and responsibility, but also with the desire to stimulate the use of renewable sources of energy and sustainable consumption, both socially responsible values that define the InCom Group".

With headquarters in Elda (Alicante), Spain, the InCom Group is made up of three companies dedicated to the engineering, design and manufacture of composite materials to produce aeolian blades. The Group offers just-in-time service with a global reach that includes three production centres (Spain, UK and Poland), production joint ventures to which it provides support in China and India, as well as a consignment warehouse in the United States. The Group has a workforce of 900 and sells 75% of production in international markets.
